Women´s conference in Varberg

Through Junia and Sisters International, Marie Arnfjell organized a women's conference was held in Varberg.  When the altar call came 7-8 women responded and gave their lives to God.  This was a very moving conference.  The goddaughter of Adolf Hitler, Rosemarie Claussen, gave her testimony about finding reconciliation and peace with God.

Passion of the Christ

http://www.thepassionofthechrist.se/

When the film The Passion Of The Christ came to Sweden it was only to be shown in 5 cities.  Roger and Marie bought the Swedish domain and made a Swedish information site in cooperation with Mel Gibson's Icon Productions. Together with a network of people they proceeded to convince the film distributor to have the film shown in more cities.  In the end about 25 cities showed the film, with some theatres featuring special reservations for bus tours!

On Television

In recent years Christian TV has been provided by Channel 10, a small ministry in southern Sweden.  For this reason there's a great need for TV production in the Swedish language.  During the Spring of 2008 Roger and Marie Arnfjell were featured on a few programs for Channel 10.  These programs aired quite a number of times between February and June of 2008.

just de' about The Bible

In April of 2008 the children's magazine just de´ premiered a special issue about the Bible. This special edition was distributed by the ecumenical organization Bibelventyret. Ten Thousand additional magazines were printed!

The administrators of Sweden's state run elementary schools allowed for the distribution of just de´ to all of Sweden's fifth-graders.  Juniamission did the printing in cooperation with Bibeläventyret (Adventure of the Bible).

Junia in shops

This spring it became possible to sell Junia at 100 prominent magazine shops throughout Sweden.  It is our great hope that this will lead to even more people coming to know Jesus as their Savior and Lord.

In a country with less than 5% of the population attending church, Junia is the only Christian magazine in Sweden that is targeted toward the non-churchgoing public.  Behind the glossy cover the reader discovers content about relationships, charity for poor children, and a very special section with Christian teaching and testimony.  Sweden has a competitive media climate with approximately 100 new magazines starting every year.  Many of them have to do with New Age.

For many women Junia has been the only opportunity to get in touch with Christian values.  We are aware of at least 100 women who have been saved at Junia conferences.

Hope FM on the Internet

Hope FM is now broadcasting 24-7 on the domain www.hopefm.se. Hope Fm is also featured on Gothenburg's public service FM station two times each month.  The broadcast features a CHR music format combined with testimony and Bible reading.

Hope FM's long-term goal is to establish a Christian radio station in every Swedish city and to also establish a firm webradio presence.  The first terrestrial project will commence in Sundsvall this fall (2008).  Plans are also underway to establish a station in Stockholm by the year 2010.  Maria and Nathan Quist have pioneered this effort since 2005.
