Alarming Trends in Swedish Christianity

Today in Sweden approximately 5% of the population regularly attends a Christian place of worship. Downward trends continue in the Swedish Mission Church, where there has been a loss of 5,000 teenagers in the otherwise popular youth programs.

Surveys from the Pentecostal Church echo the same prognosis. There we can see a decline from 80,000 teens in active membership (1980) to the present day level of 12,000. Trends in the former Swedish State church all resonate with the same resounding alarm.
